Professional Fire Investigation Training

The area of Fire Investigation within Fire and Rescue Services and other Emergency Response Services can be quite complex. National Guidance, trends and law can change and those who have their FI personnel need to ensure they are kept up=to-date with as much current practice as possible.

Our fire investigation programmes have been designed and developed in partnership with Teesside University and County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service.

The programmes are designed around the ethos of workforce development allowing operational staff to learn, develop and implement new fire investigation skills and knowledge in the workplace. It is a mix of theoretical study, research, critical evaluation and practical exercises.

The course’s leadership team includes academics and practitioners, in addition to external speakers from a broad range of sciences and operational disciplines.

• Section audits – let us provide a gap analysis of your current FI Team structure, systems and processes, ensuring everything is in line with National Guidance and there are enough resources available to cope with whatever circumstance may arise.

• SFJ LL2 and L5 Fire Investigation qualification support – any staff requiring the L2 or L5 qualification, we can offer guidance and support to be able to achieve the associated qualifications
• Assessor and IQA consultancy for Fire Investigation qualifications – our team of professionals are registered with SFJ to be able to provide assessment and IQA on qualification completion, we can provide the same on a consultancy basis to any organisation
