We are currently accredited to deliver OPITO Offshore Emergency Response Team Member (OERTM) and Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader (OERTL) qualifications with more offshore firefighting courses to follow soon.
Our exciting joint venture will see the creation of a new 20,000 square foot offshore emergency fire training facility being built at our existing fire service Training Centre at Bowburn, incorporating a three-storey mock offshore platform rig with full size helideck, helicopter simulator and internal structures to mirror those on an offshore installation.
Current industry standards demand at least 25% of the workforce present on offshore installations can deal with an emergency firefighting scenario so this is an important skill for employers and offshore workers alike.
