County Durham & Darlington Fire & Rescue Service is licenced by IOSH to deliver its IOSH Managing Safely course. The duration of the course is four days and is designed to be of benefit to managers and supervisors. The course is certificated by IOSH – the national chartered body for health and safety professionals.
The course offers an introduction to the key issues of health and safety that affect a manager’s day to day activities and will provide them with the knowledge to confidently approach such an essential part of their job. It also covers IOSH managing safely in construction course content.

This IOSH managing safely course is for managers and supervisors in any sector, including construction, and any organisation. It is designed to get managers aware of the practical actions they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams.

Assessment and Certification
In order to evaluate delegates’ progress through the IOSH managing safely course there will be an assessment and a risk assessment project to be undertaken before successful completion of the course.
On completion of the IOSH managing safely course successful delegates will receive an IOSH Managing Safely approved certificate that is valid for three years.
